What you're actually buying

A website is not a design project. It's an acquisition channel.

Most agencies will sell you a design. You'll approve some mockups, they'll build them, and eight months later you'll notice that the phone hasn't rung any more than it did before. The site looked great. It just wasn't built to be found, and nobody told you that was a separate purchase.

We build the two together, because separating them is what produces the expensive brochure. Structure and keyword research come before layout. Performance is a requirement of the build, not a phase afterwards. Tracking goes in before launch, not when you finally ask how it's doing.

What that means in practice

  • Keyword research first. Your page structure follows what customers search for, not what your brochure says.
  • One page per thing you sell. Not a services page with six bullet points. Google cannot rank a bullet point.
  • Speed as a spec. Core Web Vitals measured on field data before launch and after.
  • Schema and structured data. So search engines understand what you are, not just what you say.
  • Tracking that reports outcomes. Enquiries and sales, not visits.

Services

Everything, in-house.

Same team designs it, builds it, ranks it and still answers the phone in two years. Nothing is subcontracted.

Business websites

Bespoke WordPress builds with real structure, clear hierarchy and pages that earn their place in search results.

Online shops

WooCommerce stores built to sell — fast product pages, checkouts people finish, feeds and tracking configured.

Website redesign

Rebuilding an existing site without throwing away the rankings it already has. Redirect mapping planned first, not last.

Web applications

React and TypeScript front ends, Node and Python back ends, custom admin systems, booking and scheduling, API integrations.

SEO

Technical audits, site architecture, keyword strategy and content that answers what your customers actually type.

Maintenance & support

Updates, backups, security, speed monitoring, and someone who answers when something breaks.

How it runs

Five stages. Fixed quote. No hourly billing.

  1. Scoping call

What the business does, who buys from it, what the site has to achieve. Free, no obligation, and sometimes it ends with us telling you that you don't need a new website.

  2. Research and structure

Keyword research, competitor analysis, sitemap. We agree what pages exist and what each one is for before anything is designed.

  3. Design

Visual direction and layouts for the key templates. Signed off before development starts.

  4. Build

Development on staging, reviewable at any point. Performance, schema and accessibility built in, not retrofitted.

  5. Launch and measure

Redirects verified, Search Console and GA4 configured, baseline recorded. Then retainer or clean handover — your choice.

Proof

A recent build, with the numbers.

REPLACE_CLIENT_NAME — REPLACE with what the business does, what was wrong, what you built, what changed. Figures from Search Console and GA4 only. If you cannot evidence it, cut the metric.

Who we build for

Any sector. Here's where we've already shipped.

Supplements & nutrition

Copy that sells inside UK health-claims regulation. Written by a doctor and nutritionist.

Cosmetics & beauty

Visual-led shops, substantiated claims, paid social built in from the start.

Automotive & parts

Fitment data, technical attributes, search that returns the right part.

Questions

Straight answers.

How much does a website cost in the UK?

Anywhere from a few hundred pounds for a template a freelancer fills in, to six figures for enterprise work. The honest range for a bespoke small-business site built properly — researched, structured, fast, tracked — is REPLACE to REPLACE. Below that, something is being skipped, and it's usually the part that makes the site get found. We quote fixed after a scoping call.

How long does a website take?

A standard business site takes three to five weeks. An online shop, four to six. A custom application, longer. The bottleneck is almost never development — it's how fast content, images and approvals come back from your side.

Will my new site rank on Google?

The build gives you every technical prerequisite: structure, speed, schema, clean URLs, no crawl waste. That gets you eligible. Ranking against established competitors also needs content and links over time, and anyone who promises you page one on launch day is lying. We'll tell you honestly what's realistic for your sector before you commit.

Can you redesign my site without losing my current rankings?

Yes, and it's where most redesigns fail. Every existing URL is mapped and 301-redirected before launch, chains eliminated, old sitemap retired properly. Get it wrong and you can delete years of ranking in a week. We plan it first and verify it last.

Do I own the website?

Entirely. Your hosting account, your domain, your code. We don't lock you into proprietary platforms and we hand over everything on request.

Do you work outside Manchester?

Most of our clients are nowhere near Manchester. We're registered there and work across the UK, Bulgaria and the wider EU. Everything runs remotely — calls, staging links, shared boards.

Tell us what's not working.

Send the URL and what you want it to do. You'll get a straight answer about whether it's a fix, a rebuild, or a marketing problem pretending to be a website problem — before anyone quotes you anything.
